These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the accommodation, services, and website of Wander Surf House. By making a booking, visiting our property, or using our services, you agree to these Terms in full. Please read them carefully.

1. Reservations & Payments

• Reservation Confirmation: A booking is only confirmed once a deposit or full payment has been received and acknowledged by Wander Surf House.

• Payment Methods: We accept major credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and online payment platforms as specified on our website or booking platform.

• Balance Payment: Any remaining balance must be paid prior to or upon check-in, depending on the booking terms.

• Currency: All rates are displayed in the currency stated at the time of booking. Guests are responsible for any foreign exchange fees or bank charges.

2. Cancellations, Modifications & Refunds

• Guest Cancellations:

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to check-in are eligible for a partial refund, minus administrative fees.

  • Cancellations made within 30 days of check-in are non-refundable.

• Modifications: Changes to reservations (such as dates, number of guests, or room type) are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

• No-Shows & Early Departures: No refunds will be given.

• Wander Surf House Cancellations: In rare cases (e.g., maintenance issues, force majeure), we reserve the right to cancel a booking. Guests will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

3. Check-In, Stay & Check-Out

• Check-In Time: From 3:00 PM. Guests arriving earlier may store luggage, subject to availability.

• Check-Out Time: By 11:00 AM. Late check-out requests must be approved in advance and may incur additional charges.

• Identification: Guests must provide valid identification (passport, national ID, or driver’s license) upon check-in.

• Guest Conduct: Respect for staff, fellow guests, property, and the local community is required at all times. Unacceptable behavior may result in immediate removal without refund.

4. Property Use & Responsibilities

• Damages: Guests are financially responsible for any damage to rooms, furniture, equipment, or facilities caused during their stay.

• Shared Spaces: Common areas (lounges, kitchens, surf storage, etc.) must be used respectfully and kept clean.

• Prohibited Conduct: Illegal activities, abusive behavior, excessive noise, or bringing unauthorized guests onto the property are strictly prohibited.

• Personal Belongings: Guests are responsible for securing their personal belongings. Wander Surf House is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

5. Surfing & Adventure Activities

• Assumption of Risk: Surfing, water sports, and other adventure activities involve inherent risks. Guests participate voluntarily and at their own risk.

• Guides & Instructors: Where offered, guides and instructors provide advice for safety, but guests remain responsible for their own conduct.

• Insurance: Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain travel insurance covering medical emergencies, accidents, and activity-related risks.

6. Health, Safety & Wellness

• Medical Conditions: Guests must inform us of any relevant health issues, allergies, or dietary requirements prior to arrival.

• Alcohol & Substances: Excessive consumption of alcohol or use of illegal substances on the property is strictly forbidden.

• Pets: Pets are not allowed unless prior written approval is obtained.

• Smoking Policy: Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.

7. Liability & Disclaimers

• Limited Liability: Wander Surf House, its owners, and staff shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage during your stay, except where required by law.

• Third-Party Services: We may recommend or arrange services (e.g., surf lessons, tours, transfers) provided by third parties. We are not responsible for their actions, services, or liability.

• Force Majeure: We are not responsible for cancellations, delays, or failures caused by circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, or technical issues.

8. Website & Online Bookings

• Accuracy of Information: While we strive to keep all information (including prices and availability) accurate, errors may occur. We reserve the right to correct such errors.

• Links to Other Sites: Our website may contain links to third-party websites. Wander Surf House is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

• Applicable Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Santa Cruz.

• Jurisdiction: Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Santa Cruz.

• Amicable Resolution: We encourage disputes to be resolved amicably before pursuing formal legal action.

10. Amendments to Terms

Wander Surf House reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after updates indicates acceptance.

11. Acceptance

By booking a stay or using Wander Surf House services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
